The African institute for Energy governance (AFIEGO) called on Uganda presidential candidates to address themselves on anomalies surrounding the oil industry.
The Organisation highlighted a number of issues including; ensuring that the Ministry of Energy and mineral development puts in place the local content policy as prescribed in the National Oil and Gas Policy (NOGP) 2008, Ensuring transparency and accountability, Formulation of the regulations for the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream laws by the Minister of Energy and Mineral development as legally required.
