Oil, gas sector gets refined

In April 2018, Uganda entered into a Project Framework Agreement (PFA) with the Albertine Graben Refinery Consortium (AGRC) as the Lead Investor to develop the project. As Uganda prepares to become an oil and gas producer, the main focus has been on developing the required local capacity and skills to work in the oil sector.

Saipem awarded Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for Uganda refinery

Saipem has been awarded a new contract for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for a new refinery in Hoima. Uganda recently awarded to the Albertine Graben Refinery Consortium following the signing of the Project Framework Agreement between the Consortium and the Government of Uganda ensuring development, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the oil refinery in Hoima District.
